Shelby Menzel is a Portland based artist, musician and delicate genius. With a knack for calling out the bullsh*t in this world he lives a carefree life that makes the rest of us feel like ‘working stiffs’.
Working in a variety of mediums, he shoots instant photos, creates comedic drawings, watercolours and collages, however video art is the medium in which Shelby is the most prolific in. His work is inspired by the dark nature of government, friendships, the end of civilisation, falling off the grid, good times and other matters of the spirit. He lives in the basement of a home in Portland, Oregon, which he believes to be one of the best cities in the world.
Shelby also plays in the Oregon based band “The Sentimental Gentlemen”.
