well well the contest and the season kicked of yesterday at snapper…..i got dusted up by the current world champ Eugene fanning…
easily the hardest conditions i’ve had out there. I was watching barrels out behind the rock but couldn’t get near one. Mick nailed it with a bit of local knowledge…doing run arounds and jumping off deep on the rocks…secret jump spot mind you….
would have been nice to surf today conditions are so fun. I just slayed Dbah for a while with a cast of crew out. I’m assuming the comp will run tommoz.
got a heap of my Tathra boys staying with me as usual…. its all time……also my shaper Matt “magic mits” Penn is on the coast too,I heard he is getting drunk under the table by my south coast boys eeewwww keep up Pennie….

this was the first flood in 12 years down home in my home town Tathra….good old mother nature god bless her!!
we had a mad time surfing the stationary river waves, it opened at 7pm so we only had half hour or so before it got dark…..my mate AP got washed out to sea (he gets one just before I do in the clip), that was the last we saw of him till it went dark.
