Interview by Keegan Fong
K - Where are you from and where do you currently reside?
R - I'm from Mesa, Arizona, but home is currently Brooklyn, New York
K - What have you been doing in the cold ass city?
R - I came out to recuperate from an ankle injury and work for this artist Simon Evans with my friend Mike Fox. We were doing some assisting and preparation work.
K - What would a normal day be like for you? Give us a quick run down...
R - Well, if I'm not working, I'll wake up early with my girlfriend and eat breakfast with her. I'll read for a little bit after she leaves and then try and go skateboarding and/or exercise. After that, I'll try to go to a museum or a show, and then come home and work on stuff or watch a movie and make dinner.
K - What are you current sponsors?
R - Insight, Enjoi, Lakai, OJ Wheels, Krux Trucks, and Freedom Boardshop
K - Any trips planned in the near future?
R - Yeah, I'll be heading to San Jose and then to Vegas and hopefully Arizona in March and April to film for this Enjoi thing we're working on.
K - What inspires you outside of skating?
R - Family, friends; the ones that hold the fire
K - We know you do some art, tell us a bit about how you got into it.
R - Going to art school with friends in high school and then college in San Francisco
K - Do you have a website?
R - I'm working on it.
K - Anything else you'd like to say to the world?
R - Stay up, player.
