Exactly twenty years ago it was said that punk broke, though the smell of teen spirit still subtly permeates
throughout Insights Men’s Spring 2012 range. Sitting under this distinct attitude and laissez-faire
approach to styling, sits an obvious reference to weather-worn colours, topical slogans and imagery of
discontent that ushered in the dawn of a new era, the 1970’s. Stitching together these disparate threads
of cultural history; Insight has created a range of clothing that both pays homage to the past whilst looking
to the future with modern eyes.
Spring 2012 brings a new-wave genre, a laidback vibe and getting back to our roots. The collection unveils
a blend of psychedelic florals, cinematic riot, photographic mash ups and ethnic prints, all heralding
a return of the Bedouin surfer.
Air-force chino blues adopted by the Seattle streets, fuse with an earthen 70’s palette of dirty washed-out
tones, with a fresh but faded aesthetic. Making its mark with a bohemian vibe and laid back style, transseasonal
knits, jacquard woven walk shorts and embroidered denim shirts and jackets juxtapose eco-poly
board shorts and this seasons crew neck sweaters.
