Kate Bellm is a Berlin based photographer, who we're currently collaborating with on an upcoming Garage Artist series. Kate sent us these photos from a recent day out with skaters from TOPHEADZ and bin-bags full of powder. Below Kate talks about the day in question and the skaters that make up TOPHEADZ.
"We wanted to make a riot war scene with the paint and the boys skating ... but using bin-bags full of pink powder made it a little more light hearted : ) We also found a abandoned formula 1 wheel on the street before that worked as the perfect paint bombing tool.
We had some little problems when it started raining and the paint powder turned to liquid and then everything and everyone got really messy as the boys power slide through the paint.
TOPHEADZ is a creative lifestyle skateboard collective from Berlin. These are the boys that make it work: Lukas Großmann is the elastic, power gliding acrobat. Vincent Heller is the consistent nollie flipping chiller. Dariuz Voltra skates like the poetic punk. Jan Grons is the guy in the sky; higher, higher, higher is how he skates. And Martin Gregor is the monkey from another century, always rocking his top hat".
